§ 5.20. CORPORATION COUNSEL .

The Corporation Counsel's office shall:

(1)

Provide court services for the Department of Human Services involving petitions to the court for children in need of protection and services (CHIPS), and juveniles in need of protection and services (JIPS).

(2)

Assume responsibility for the court related activity of obtaining the Ch. 51, Wis. Stats., commitments for alcohol, drugs and mental illness.

(3)

Retain responsibility for obtaining and terminating guardianships and Ch. 55, Wis. Stats., protective placements.

(4)

Perform such other duties as are delegated to it by the County Board from time to time.
